Taking a power nap is one of the best options to do during that time. It relaxes your body and prepares you for the next shift of the day. Power nap refers to sleeping for just only about 30 minutes but it should be so comfortable and composed that when you wake up you should be completely refreshed. Many people refer to the act of taking a power nap as an art in itself as everyone isn’t able to do it. One has to train their body and brain accordingly for the same.
Now, if a person is into books they can spend that time reading their favourite book. Make sure that the book isn’t so complex to read and difficult to understand. It should not put a lot of pressure on your brain rather it should be easy to read and understand such that after reading it you feel relaxed and recreated. Thus, choosing which book to read is as important as reading the book properly. One should be constantly hungry for gaining knowledge. Books are your best friends and also the best source to engage oneself and gain knowledge.
One can also listen to their favourite music while resting. Listening to music relaxes your brain muscles. Make sure that the music you listen to isn’t too harsh or loud to listen to. The lyrics should be easily understandable as well as the background music of the song should be soothing and comfortable, else instead of relaxing your brain, it might give you severe headaches after a few minutes of listening. Make sure you listen to it at suitable sound ranges as well. The volume shouldn’t be soo high. One can also listen to podcasts by their favourite speakers. The podcasts could be of any genre whether it be devotional or related to personal life etc.
Everyone possesses that one talent or skill at which they are good and loves to spend time doing it. Now, that could be painting, sketching, singing, writing blogs, photography, video editing, etc. During that free time, you can pursue any of these. Make sure these are the things that give you satisfaction and make you happy. While doing them you shouldn’t feel any pressure or feel burdened. They should completely refresh and recreate your mood. These activities shouldn't be done with a heavy heart or mind.
A person can also meditate and spend some time with themself. They can look into themselves, and have a conversation with themselves. When a person spends time with himself/herself, he/she gets time to look into the inner self. This also relaxes the brain muscles and refreshes you. Nowadays, many people have completely forgotten about the importance of God. They just believe themselves to be the superior selves and believe they are invincible. In your free time include activities where you spend some quiet moments in prayer, thanking God for everything that he has blessed you with.
A great way to productively spend your free time would be looking into your self- care. Whether it is your nails that need filing, your clothes that need ironing, your hair that needs to be oiled or your shoes that need to be polished, you should look into it. All these things boost your confidence levels and satisfy you.
